Happy Easter Baby Kai!

Kai's first Easter was pretty exciting!!! I really, really wanted Kai to have Easter candy...he loves Easter candy on his two day birthday. :)  We went to Target and every single bit of Easter candy was gone except 4 bags of M&M's, but Kai doesn't like M&M's, so we went to Smith's, and they only had plastic eggs left...I'm not sure if it was post-pregnancy hormones or what, but I almost started crying, I was so upset that Kai's first Easter was going to be a bust.  We drove home, and I was really upset, so Darin asked me if I wanted to stop at Rite Aid just to see if they had any.  We walked in and their were two full aisles of Easter candy...I ran to Darin and hugged him as tight as I could, on the verge of tears, I kept saying: Yeah!  Kai's Easter won't be ruined.  Needless to say he loved all of his Easter Candy.  

Darin's Mom used to buy him a chocolate covered marshmallow egg with his name on it every single Easter until she passed away, so it was really important to him that Kai have an Egg with his name on it.  My mom is here taking care of us, so she made sure he got his little egg. :)  Kai loves Easter!

Darin's brother and sister-in-law came over to visit on Easter, and we had a cake with candles and ice-cream to celebrate.  Brianna and Garrett loved hanging out with Kai, and Brianna kept telling everyone: "Time to give Baby Kai to me".  She would tell me: "Mindy, please tell me when you need to take Kai somewhere, and I will carry him to you, I am big enough to carry him whenever you need me."  It was so fun!

We love being parents.  Everyone told us before Kai came that the first two weeks are SOOOO hard, because you don't sleep at night, and your just exhausted.  We have been up a lot at night, but I have loved it...I miss him while we are sleeping, and once my milk came in, he really started sleeping well and he's so happy!
